Gee, when I was Niece 2's age,
happiness was being in a style show.
happiness was being in a style show.
(Another picture by Grandma Lou --- the thumb
in the corner is a definite give-away!)
Last week-end we took the nieces to Torrington to visit Marissa at college.
The highlight of the trip was eating at Burger King. We've all moaned and groaned
because we no longer have one in our town.
Niece Two knew exactly what she wanted:
Niece Two knew exactly what she wanted:
a Hershey's Chocolate Pie!!!
If that's not happiness, I don't know what is.
Niece 1 had a different idea about what to eat
to make her happy when she was a little tyke.
to make her happy when she was a little tyke.
Isn't it funny how our tastes change as we get older?
It took so little to make me happy as a youngster ....
....a Vroom to put on my racing trike .....
... a six shooter, a cool cowboy (not cowgirl) outfit, and a cousin to play with
... being a flower girl in a wedding.
Wait! That can't be right.
I don't look the least bit happy!
I learned early in life what makes me happiest.
Spotty showed me the light. The love and devotion
of a good dog can make you happy.
(I must be deliriously happy!)
Now it is as simple as a soundtrack ....
... which was waiting for me when I got home today.
Happiness is surprises!
