Drink Outside the Bucks

I'm not exactly a morning person.

This very closely resembles me before 10 a.m.

For this reason, I was a coke fiend.

I say was, because once again,
(for the 114th time) I have given up Coca-Cola.
I know it's 114 because Mom is counting.

This time I have been more successful .... but the mornings have been a bit, shall we say, bearish?!

I really, really, really NEED that caffeine kick.

I'm not a big coffee fan.
It's okay, especially doctored with a liberal amount of cream and sugar, but I could really take it or leave it.

That was I could take it or leave it
before we discovered
American Cowboy Coffee!

This company was featured on the local news station
and on a whim we decided to try a pound.

That was about a month ago.

I can't live without it now.

We ground some and took it along last week-end
because our motel room had a coffee pot.

It also had the blasted coffee sealed in the filter.

But fortunately, I had my MacGyver tool with me.

I neatly cut a slit in the filter, dumped out the
nasty coffee and replaced it with the good stuff.

It's amazing how clever I can be.

Before we ordered American Cowboy Coffee,
I only drank coffee on the week-ends.

Mostly to be polite, because Mardell
doesn't like to drink alone.
Who does?

Now, I'm up at four in the morning getting the coffee started and letting the beasts out for their morning romp. I drink a cup and I'm no longer a bear, but instead just as happy and contented as Willowby.

We have since re-ordered and bought a pound for at home and a pound for at school.  We ordered some for The Young Thing and some more for my teaching partner, who is NOT a coffee drinker and some more for another colleague who is a coffee fiend.

That's how good it is.

Our mailman delivered our order today.

The first time we ordered, they included
bright yellow stickers with their motto
"Drink Outside the Bucks".

This time, as a thank you for placing such a huge order,
the company included stickers AND a coffee flavored chapstick.

Naturally, I instantly thought of Ms. Simpleton
and the goose poop chapstick and expiration dates!

So, of course, the first thing I did was check for a date.

N-O-T-H-I-N-G !!!!!
Yikes, do you suppose it is safe to use?
(I kind of bet I'll take my chances!)

If you're in the neighborhood, stop in for a cup of cowboy joe ....
but don't get out of your vehicle if Chip greets you and we don't!

The pics are Sister Two's creativity. I like them on the banner. Makes it look much better.

I think coffee lipstick is not the same as a cup of coffee.
